German Chancellor Angela Merkel topped this year's list, with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in the No. 2 spot, followed by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff at No. 3. The 100 women on the list collectively control $30 trillion and have an average age of 54. Twenty-nine are CEOs; 22 are single; 8 are heads of state; 74 are returnees. Indra Nooyi, Chief Executive of PepsiCo took the fourth spot, and Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, took the number 5 spot. Lady Gaga (No. 11) was the youngest resident of the list at the age of 25. Other entertainment figures included Today anchor Ann Curry (No. 66), singer Beyonce Knowles (No. 18), Angelina Jolie (No. 29) and model Gisele Bündchen (No. 60). Oprah Winfrey, who last year was at the third spot, has dropped down to number 14 this year. Forbes has been publishing the list of World's Most Powerful Women since 2004.
